ONL Bureau: Twelve Pakistani nationals living in Odisha on long-term visas (LTVs) will soon be deported, following an order from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India. The state government has started the process of issuing them formal exit notices.A senior official said the process is being carried out legally and carefully, in line with both national and international rules.For security reasons, the identities and locations of these individuals have not been disclosed. Local police and immigration officials are on alert to ensure the deportation is smooth and lawful.
This move comes after Union Home Minister Amit Shah directed all state Chief Ministers to ensure no Pakistani national stays in India beyond the allowed deadline. States have also been asked to identify and deport any such individuals living within their borders.
12 Pakistani Nationals in Odisha to Be Deported On Thursday, India cancelled all visas issued to Pakistani nationals starting April 27. Indian citizens living in Pakistan were also urged to return immediately. The decision follows rising tensions after the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists.
