ONL Bureau :Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conducted a comprehensive review of the fertilizer supply status across the state at Lok Seva Bhavan today.

He assured that there is no shortage of fertilizers and emphasized the importance of timely and transparent distribution to farmers through PACS and LAMPCS.

For the ongoing Kharif season, the state requires 9,55,000 metric tonnes of fertilizer by September 30, and the central government has already allocated this quantity. As of now, 11,66,733 metric tonnes are available in stock, out of which 9,85,967 metric tonnes have already been sold.

The Chief Minister instructed all district collectors to closely monitor fertilizer distribution and ensure that any seized stock during inspections is redirected to nearby PACS or LAMPCS for immediate allocation to farmers. He also warned of strict action against any complaints of black marketing, hoarding, or counterfeit fertilizers.

Majhi emphasized crop diversification and integrated farming systems, encouraging cultivation of oilseeds and pulses. He reiterated the state’s commitment to empowering farmers through schemes like Samruddha Krushak Yojana and ensuring support in flood-affected areas.

The meeting was attended by Deputy CM Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Cooperation Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Principal Secretary to CM Saswata Mishra, and Agriculture Secretary Arabinda Padhee, among others.
