Nuakhai Celebrated at Raj Bhavan

ONL Bureau : On Thursday morning, the ceremonial hall of Raj Bhavan witnessed the auspicious rituals led by Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati and First Lady Jayashree Kambhampati. They offered the season’s first harvest—newly harvested rice—to Goddess Samaleswari, seeking blessings for the prosperity of the state.

The event was graced by senior officials including Commissioner-cum-Secretary Rupa Roshan Sahu, along with Raj Bhavan staff who participated in the rituals and shared the sacred Nabanna meal. The Governor expressed immense happiness in celebrating Nuakhai, describing it as a festival that honors Mother Earth and the tireless efforts of farmers.

In his message, Governor Kambhampati extended heartfelt greetings to all farmers and citizens of Odisha, wishing them happiness, prosperity, and good health. He emphasized that Nuakhai strengthens familial bonds, fosters unity, and promotes harmony among communities. He also called upon everyone to contribute towards making Odisha a leading and progressive state in the field of agriculture.
