Rath Yatra 2025 Ritual Schedule Released by SJTA

ONL Bureau :  Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has unveiled the full itinerary of  Rath Yatra rituals to be held on June 27 in Puri.

The schedule, a divine blueprint for lakhs of devotees and servitors, meticulously outlines every major ceremonial moment—from the early Mangala Alati to the grand pulling of the sacred chariots.

As tradition dictates, the rituals begin at 6:00 AM with Mangala Alati, followed closely by Mailam, Tadapa Lagi, and Rosha Homa. Spiritual activities continue throughout the morning, including Surya Puja, Dwarapala Puja, and the offering of Gopala Ballabha and Sakala Dhupa, culminating in Rath Pratistha at 9:00 AM.

At 9:30 AM, the much-awaited Pahandi procession commences, marking the ceremonial escort of the deities to their chariots. This sacred march concludes by 12:30 PM, after which Lord Sri Madanmohan, Sri Ram, and Sri Krushna take their places, leading to a flurry of final preparations.

By 4:00 PM, the air will be thick with devotion as servitors install the horses (Ghoda) and charioteers (Sarathi), and the world-famous chariot pulling begins—an act embodying faith, tradition, and divine connection.

With crowds expected from across the globe, this year’s Rath Yatra promises both spiritual grandeur and intricate ritualism, making it a momentous chapter in the living legacy of Puri’s Srimandir.
